The Crypt MC-5F HJC CL-15 helmet is a solid mid-level full-face motorcycle helmet for the street that offers an understated menacing demeanor, thanks to a factory custom painted scheme that combines a black painted base finish and light gray subdued graphics, all with a matte clear coat. The center piece of the bold Crypt MC-5F HJC CL-15 graphics design that scrunches up its nose at civility is a large skull and crossbones image covering the left rear of the helmet.

Objectively, the Crypt MC-5F HJC CL-15 helmet is a well-thought-out and well-built full-face motorcycle helmet, and it earns both DOT and Snell M2005 motorcycle helmet certification.

A molded-in recess on each side of the helmet sweeps from the front side chin bar up and back across the sidepanel. The recesses help enhance aerodynamics for better balance and reduced wind drag and lift.

The one-piece HJC Helmets design for the Crypt MC-5F HJC CL-15 full-face motorcycle helmet delivers a strong chin bar and a large eyeport opening for greater visibility. To cover that large eyeport opening, the Crypt comes with an HJC Helmets HJ-09 clear face shield that is anti-fog and scratch-resistant hard coated with an optically correct 3D design that provides an undistorted view of the road or track. The HJC Helmets shield also blocks 95 percent of harmful UV radiation.

The HJC CL-15 shield is mounted to the helmet utilizing HJC's 3rd generation easy function tool-less shield removal system with two-stage shield pivot/compression system. As the shield closes, it is pulled inward against the black rubber wrap-around eyeport gasket to provide a perfect air and water-tight seal.

The Crypt MC-5F HJC CL-15 full-face motorcycle helmet model utilizes a four-way anti-fog flow-through cooling and ventilation system to help keep the rider cool and to help maintain ideal visibility. Side chin bar Venturi exhaust vents of the Crypt MC-5F HJC CL-15 draw heat and moisture out of the face shield area to prevent fogging, while twin top dorsal Venturi exhaust vents maximize flow-through airflow across the rider's pate.

To help soak up nasty high-impact energy as well as to direct air and control helmet temperature, HJC stuffs this full-face motorcycle helmet model with a two-piece channeled dual-density lightweight EPS foam inner shell impact liner. The polycarbonate outer shell and the EPS foam inner shell form a protective combo that lets the HJC CL-15 helmet model meet both DOT and Snell motorcycle helmet safety standards.

Removable comfort-contoured foam padding covered with soft, stylish black Nylex provide a head comfort liner and cheek pads for a snug yet comfortable fit plus easy cleaning and air drying. A sculptured wrap-around neck roll provides added comfort in the form of padding and reduced interior noise from wind, road, and exhaust plus helps with retention during an accident.
