The multiposition ratchet mechanism is concealed by the sideplates.
The clear, optical-quality molded polycarbonate face shield has a left-side finger tab, below which is a fingertip recess molded into the chin bar, intended to help make flip-ups easier. Inside, a removable molded breath deflector reduces shield fogging in cold weather.
